If you are a diesel motor mechanic with at least two years of work experience… Australia needs you!
We have employers who are desperately seeking qualified and experienced diesel mechanics. Due to skills shortages, Australian employers are willing to offer employer sponsorship (which can lead to Australian residency). So NOW is the time to make the move!
Australia is slowly recovering from the impacts of COVID19, and with borders set to open next year, we are working with employers to find skilled candidates. This includes working with intended skilled migrants who are ready to progress their immigration plans, by getting their skills assessed, and being ready for an offer of sponsorship.
Diesel Motor Mechanics maintain, test and repair diesel motors and the mechanical parts of trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.
The average salary in Australia for a qualified and experienced diesel mechanic is $46.32 per hour in Australia. With a minimum week of 38 hours a week, that’s just under $100,000 p.a. Pretty attractive right!
Most diesel motor mechanics will require at least an AQF Certificate III including and least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification. Registration or licensing may be required.
The Skills Assessing Authority for the occupation of diesel motor mechanic is Trades Recognition Australia.
Regional Migration Australia can assist with applying for your skills assessment and getting you ready to be sponsored in Australia. We also have relationship with recruiters, to whom we can refer you for consideration for vacancies.
There has never been a better time to consider moving to Australia. Skills shortages are creating opportunities for skilled migrants.
