Victoria opens Business & Investor visa (Subclass 188 & 132)

Victoria’s 2020-21 business and investor visa nomination program (for subclasses 188 and 132 will open from today.

Changes to nomination criteria

For now, there are no substantial changes to the existing nomination criteria, however Regional Migration Australia has been advised that the business and investment activity must contribute to Victoria’s economic recovery or health response to be approved for visa nomination.

Places are limited and applications are expected to be highly competitive.

Investing in Victoria’s economic and health recovery

To maximise your chances of success, it will be critical that your application demonstrates how your business or investment will assist Victoria’s economic recovery or health response to the COVID19  pandemic.  Both our business partners (Kristie and Trish) have previously worked for Regional Development Victoria, and therefore have a strong understanding of key priorities of the Victorian Government, along with the drivers of economic development.  In addition, Kristie is an Accredited Economic Development practitioner through Economic Development Australia.   Regional Migration Australia is therefore well placed to help with developing a strong economic business case.

The Commonwealth Government has provided a limited number of interim visa nomination places to the Victorian Government, prior to the release of the Federal Budget on 6 October 2020.  These places used to help drive Victoria’s economic recovery and health response to the COVIC19 pandemic.  Applications will close at 5pm AEST, 21 September 2020.

Get ready for the new Busines and Skilled Migration places post Federal Budget

Following this, we are looking forward to the Federal Government’s announcement regarding the rest of the 2020/21 Business and Skilled Migration program places.  Regional Migration Australia can help to ensure you are ready for these opportunities.
