News just in! South Australia’s 2024-2025 General Skilled Migration Program is now open for new applications. South Australia’s Skilled Migration Program offers nomination for a range of visas tailored to skilled migrants, if you are an eligible onshore applicant you can now submit your Registration of Interest (ROI).
464 occupations are available for the onshore streams. Successful applicants will receive an invitation to apply for state nomination through the following streams:
- Skilled Employment in South Australia stream – for applicants who have shown commitment to South Australia and have South Australian work experience in their skilled occupation.
- South Australian Graduates stream – South Australia continues to retain those who have studied and work here in SA in their skilled occupation.
- Outer Regional Skilled Employment stream – supporting the regions to address skills shortages in outer regional areas of South Australia, applicants working in the regions in their nominated or closely related occupation can apply through this stream.
427 occupations are open to experienced overseas workers through the offshore streams.
Offshore workers will need to submit a SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI) and if successful, will be invited to apply for South Australian nomination. Applicants should ensure that their EOI is current and up to date.
Business Innovation and Investment Program – Currently, South Australia is not accepting new applications for state nomination under the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188).
Employer Sponsored Programs – South Australia is committed to supporting local employers who are unable to fill vacancies with local talent. A variety of employer-sponsored programs are available to help businesses attract the skilled workers they need.
When applying for your state nomination check your eligibility, ensure you meet all visa and state nomination requirements. Applications need to be submitted via the Skilled & Business Migration Portal. In the portal you will be able to update your contact details, track your application and view any actions that need to be completed.
